I have some exciting news to share with you – we have changed our name from Changefirst Australia and New Zealand to Change Synergy!

As you may know, we have represented Changefirst in Australia and New Zealand for the past 9 years and we are thrilled to continue this long association under our new brand – Change Synergy.

We have been thinking deeply about change and what the future holds.

We have observed the rate of change increasing dramatically in recent years. The global business environment is becoming increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous. A trend that is projected to continue with exponential improvements to technology, a demographically changing workforce, and shifts in consumer expectations.

This has led us to reconsider how an organisation needs to be prepared to not only survive, but thrive in an environment of incessant change.

Creating a change capable organisation.

Through our research (in partnership with Deakin University), we identified that truly change capable organisations demonstrate specific characteristics that support organisational agility, enabling them to quickly embark on – and more successfully implement – change.

Such organisations typically THINK differently – they focus and have an organisational mind-set and behaviours that are more conducive to change – and INVEST differently – they embed processes and develop capabilities so their people are equipped to act.

While having a consistent change management methodology and common set of practices and tools is still important, it is no longer enough. Current conditions require not only effectively applying sound methodologies, but also a conducive culture, supportive systems, effective processes and motivated people. These factors contribute to an organisation’s change capability and need to be developed.

What this means to our clients.

This represents an evolution of our focus to help our clients to become truly change capable. In addition to Changefirst’s People-Centred Implementation (PCI®) methodology and cloud based e-change® platform we are expanding our offering to include:

  • A new evidence based model to assess organisational change capability.
  • Role specific skill building.
  • A range of exciting and innovative change technologies, consulting, coaching and support services.
